Event Cancellations
…
In the event of inclement weather or events with less than 40 registered players are subject to cancellation and all players will be credited the full entry fee for a future event.

No Show Policy …
Players that no show on the day of play will not be permitted to play in future events until the entry fee of the no-show round is paid in full. 24 hours notice before cancelling for an event is required to avoid this penalty.

Dress Code and Etiquette …
The JTMD is very fortunate to have the support of PGA professionals and some of the finest golfing facilities (public & private) in the entire Baltimore metropolitan area. It is essential that all junior tour players adhere to proper dress codes (collared or golf type shirt, no cut off shorts and golf or tennis shoes). Junior Tour staff and volunteers will be present at each event to ensure every player understands all proper course etiquette before, during and after play.

Cellular Phones …
Cell phones and other electronic devices must be turned off during play for all players and caddies. Specific private facilities may prohibit the use of cell phones entirely (including spectators).

Scoring …
Players will be required to exchange scorecards and keep track of playing partner’s score. Each player should also keep track of their own score and report their accurate score to the official scorekeeper after each hole. Players are only responsible for the hole-by-hole score and not the total score. Double Par +1 stroke is the maximum score per hole in every age group, i.e. 9 is the maximum score on a par 4. Players putting or shooting for double par during play should hole out and record the double par score. Each player should attest the official scorecard with their signature before returning the card in to the scorer’s table following the round. Intentional cheating will lead to disqualification and potential removal from the JTMD. Any rules questions will be handled by an onsite Rules Official. Adult volunteer score keepers will be assigned to 9-hole division groups as often as possible.

Pace of Play …
All players will be expected to maintain a 2:20 9-hole pace or 4:40 18-hole pace of play.  If any group falls behind this pace more than 10 minutes, they will be given ONE warning and two holes to regain their pace and/or catch the group in front of them.  A second warning will result in the entire group skipping one hole and will be given an average score in relation to par based on their current score in relation to par.

Caddies …
Parents or guardians are permitted to caddie for juniors in the 9-hole age divisions (boys and girls 8-13yrs old). Caddies are NOT permitted in the 14-15 and 18-hole age divisions. Caddies should only offer advice to their player individually and allow Junior Tour officials and volunteers to monitor the entire group on issues pertaining to etiquette, pace of play, rules, etc.

Tee times, results and standings from website …
This year’s website will be continuously updated to include a list of registered players for each event, results from previous events, current standings, approximate tee times for every age division weeks in advance, and specific tee times 3 days before the tournament. Visit www.juniortourofmd.com to obtain all the latest information.

Practice Rounds …
Facilities are not required to offer special junior or practice round rates prior to scheduled tour events. Players are welcome and encouraged to play practice rounds at the public courses on the JTMD schedule. Juniors are not entitled to practice rounds at exclusively private clubs unless they are active club members at the respective country club.

Player of the Year Points …
Player of the Year points will be awarded to the top finishers in each division at every event. Double point values will be used in the Tour Championship to determine Player of the Year. ONLY TOUR CARD holders are eligible to win Player of the Year honors and there is no minimum number of rounds played required.
