Recognized by the PGA of America the Junior Tour of Maryland (JTMD) has been providing on-course experience to juniors golfers since 2005. Celebrating a decade of junior golf and growing annually to provide the best playing opportunities with gracious support from the finest PGA operated facilities across the state. Accessibility, location and value are what make the JTMD events unique and increasingly popular among junior players.
The core purpose of the JTMD has always been to help transition young players from learning environments to the course, while also providing spirited competition for more advanced players in both individual and team formats.
High School Team Matches are built into the framework of each event along with individual competition, which is the only such playing opportunity for high school aged players anywhere in the state or region. The player commitment and expense is minimal and Coaches overwhelmingly support the concept.
Juniors between the ages of 8-18, not attending college are tour eligible. Players are encouraged, but are not required, to compete in divisions based on their age as of July 1 each year.
For juniors not quite ready for the on-course experience we strive to help each inspired young player find the nearest and best facility to begin learning, practicing and playing with help from certified PGA instructors.
